Update (Wednesday 6.3.13) - In rumours first reported by Fight News Australia, MMA Kanvas has learned via UFC Australia that Australian heavyweight Soa ‘The Hulk’ Palelei has verbally agreed to face Stipe Miocic (9-1) at UFC 161 on June 15 in Winnipeg, Canada. Miocic will look to rebound from a second round TKO loss to Stefan Struve last September.
Also on the UFC 161 card, UFC president Dana White confirmed that "Shogun" Rua will square off against "Little Nog" in a rematch almost a decade in the making.

Tuesday 5.3.13: Australian heavyweight Soa "The Hulk" Palelei confirmed today that after a five year stint outside the Octagon, he is set to return to the UFC.
"The Hulk' has been campaigning for a return to the world's premiere MMA organisation for some time and announced today via his twitter account that he has signed a four fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Palelei has huge support on social media, with many of his 133,000 twitter fans frequenty reminding UFC President Dana White of Palelei's desire to return to the UFC. Palelei last fought in the UFC in 2007, suffering a TKO loss to Eddie Sanchez at UFC 79. Since then, he has gone 10-1 to bring his career record to an impressive 18-3.
At 6 ft 4 in (1.93m) and 265 + pounds (120 kg), "The Hulk' will be among the biggest heavyweights in the UFC. He is fresh off a an impressive TKO victory over former UFC fighter Sean McCorkle and will look to make an impression in his second stint inside the Octagon.
